About the author, Jean Carter

As an advisor for John Lyon’s Charity since 2014, I have had the privilege to be involved in the Perspectives journey from its outset.

The level of interest to increase and share understanding in relation to inclusion, access, diversity and equity has been uplifting.

With my background as a professional musician, teacher, hub lead, and education advisor, I have always been passionate that opportunities in the arts be available to all children and young people.

As author of the reports: Perspectives, Change of Perspectives and A New Perspective, I can see that the dial is moving in the right direction.

A huge thank you to all those involved in the Perspectives journey – for your time, interest, passion and vision in making true inclusion and equal opportunity not just a dream but reality.
